Down Force
For the Cat II or Cat III hybrid adapter to work -- a force has to be placed on the wheel assembly to keep to rubber on the road. This can be easily accomplished with an air strut -- air pressure can be controlled with an on board compressor -- both components are affordable.

Attaching an electric motorcycle -- minus the front wheel and suspension ---to the back of your SUV or pickup truck. This bike has 18 HP -- plenty to help push your truck around town and increase your MPH.

Category II hybrad idea
Using the spare tire location for full size pickup trucks or SUVs is a great place to install a Category II hybrid adapter. It could be made to be entirely self contained, with control wiring and mounting hardware the only needed modifcations.

Welcome
The Hybrid Adapter Blog will explore all new devices to convert your existing auto or truck into a hybrid. The goal is to SAVE GAS.
A '''hybrid adapter''', or HYBRAD, is a device which turns any passenger class vehicle into a multi-fuel hybrid vehicle. Hybrid adapters run simultaneously, or in parallel, with your existing drivetrain.
